Introduction

I am creating this guide because braum is my favourite champion and I used him mainly to climb into gold. Braum is a good pick into many tank champions, and has a lot of utilities to either engage or back off. Although he struggles with AP support champions (like all supp tanks), he can be paired up well to pretty much any team comp.

Gold is enough to gain the rank rewards so my experience ends there. If you are looking for a master tier #1 braum support guide to carry you through masters and play with the likes of pros, you have come to the right place. This guide will give you the bare basics to get into gold. After gold, you can find a guide that will tell you what i'm gonna tell you. It's called getting gud mate.

Items

Pretty much all the items you need if you are going against standard team comps. Rush locket or knights vow, if no ap then just build armor instead. Whatever you want, your just gonna stack armor anyways. Redemption is always nice, keeps the team healthy or you can use it to snipe enemies or have vision on baron.

Team Work

Make sure your protecting your adc from as much damage as possible. Get hooked when your adc gets caught out, and all in if you truly believe. Know which adc has early, or mid power spikes and play accordingly.

Protect your adc from dying as best as you can.

Ranked Play

Best thing about playing ranked with Braum is that some games you are going to carry your team through out the game, earn a lot of kills/assists, make your adc fed, have those clutch saves and then still lose the game.

You should always try and enjoy playing the game. We all know it's tough to lose, sometimes you go on a long losing streak where you are one game away from getting plat, then you get players who feeds the jungler or lose lane when they had the counter pick because they think ornn is much better into darius, or a player chooses graves, or ez or straight up someone RQ/DC mid game. Then you hover around gold III before you win a game and think that wow it can't be me because I was building zzrotz the whole time.

Losing streaks are there, be prepared for it but more importantly have fun.

A side note: zzrotz is so random but fun to build.

The best Braum skin is Mafia Braum with the obsidian skin. Why?

Mafia Braum may be better called thief or bank robber but the criminal theme is presented in a cartoony and noticeably straightforward way. In terms of clothes there’s a classy suit with no jacket and short-sleeved shirt. Tattooed arms and a crest haircut make the skin feel more modern and add some aggression to the elegance but they aren’t significant elements. What stands out the most is the new shield which is a safe door. Why there’s a large gem on its centre and seems to be coated in gold can only be explained by the cartoony approach. Besides poros wearing fedoras and wielding machine-guns those are all the model changes there are to see and there’s nothing sophisticated about them. Particles keep the cartoony feel so that abilities turn into references to stolen valuables, diamonds and gold, with more emphasis placed on the latter; as the ultimate shows. Everything looks good enough and nothing strikes as outstanding. Perhaps the wall of gold ingots displayed by unbreakable could be considered memorable; though Braum punches right through its translucence. One thing that disappoints is the frost left by Concussive Blows: it’s a clear classic remnant unfitting of a current skin, especially at this price. Sounds tend to rely on metallic sounds given the use of gold in most abilities. What strikes as strange is the importance that rocky sounds have in Glacial Fissure despite the use of gold. While ground is visibly broken the metallic sound are barely noticeable. Unbreakable’s sound when stopping a projectile is rather good which further elevates the ability as the one with the best adaptation. Concussive Blows seems to retain its classic sound which is another dent on the adaptation’s surface. The new recall is more cartoon fun with Braum and his poros opening the safe door he carries to be transported away. This is an eloquent element that shows the whole approach of the skin.
