Skarner Passive Ability
Introduction
The reason I chose these items, is to give early lane dominance (through philosophers stone, sheen and vampiric) and exceptional late game health and damage (through Frozen mallet, Shurelia's, trinity Force, Atma's impaler and blood thirster). The trinity force helps through the sheen proc and the movement speed; the other stats are also useful as skarner can be played bot AD or AP. Shurelia's reverie helps by giving skarner lots of health and mana regen while also giving him +330 health. Lucidity works well with the rune page and skarner's passive. Blood thirster and trinity force, Atma's give you your main source of AD stats. The Atma's AD also increases while levelling up and when Frozen mallet and shurelia's are acquired.
The runes I have chosen are used to compliment my item build for skarner. The cooldowns and lucidity work well together; alacrity works well with triforce; the HP gives me early game health dominance over the opposing laner; and the armour pen works well with his Q spell. This combination of runes is used to help keep lane dominance. Health sustain through health quintessences and early HP regeneration means that it is hard to be forced out of lane while under your turret.
Pro's - Good sustain with his 'E' and 'W' spells
- Persistent damage with 'Q' and 'E' as you can still auto-attack when using 'Q'
- His 'R' is great for setting up ganks and singling out targets
- Abilities work well together
- Lots of AoE with 'Q' and 'E'
- Great for catching enemies with 'W' and naturally has lots of movement speed
Con's - Hard to get to the minions
- Bad mana pool
- Sort of squishy at lower levels
- Mainly targeted in team fights
- Really bad when under heavy CC
