As far as Shaco goes i always thought that if you build entirely AP then he would fail in a 1 on 1, but his knives and boxes would be great. If you build all AD however, it would be pretty much the opposite.
so, why not do both?
he can last longer in a 1 on 1 (or 2 on 1 with hallucinate), his shiv does way more damage when thrown, and his boxes pack a punch.

I'd say don't go jungling, but that's just because i haven't tried it yet, mana isn't hard to come by at all with the ring and runes giving mana regen, but if you want you can easily jungle blue with just the ring if you spam boxes, and after hes dead, start laning.


id assume you already have a general idea how to play Shaco, but if not i'll explain however i can.

you can spread your boxes and use them as sight wards to see in all the bushes around you, or you can gather them all in one place so that as soon as an enemy gets close enough 4-6 boxes fear and start attacking... that almost always leads to an incredibly quick and easy kill, though i doubt the enemy would be dumb enough to run into a bush knowing they are laning against a Shaco. Seeing as this is the case they may need some persuasion to get into the bush. Singed is actually perfect for this, his fling can launch them straight into certain death with no problems at all and give you an easy painless kill.

shivs do a ton of damage at full build and you 1 hit minions like there's no tomorrow, so at full build its really easy to win fights, and if you're losing then just go invisible and run away as best you can.

the build is also really good with turrets, you and your clone can do amazing damage to a turret and then deceive out if things start getting too close for comfort.
