Shaco is difficult at first simply because no other champion has his play style. He is a very strategic champion with very specific requirements in order to succeed on the field of battle. This is not the only build for Shaco. There are many ways to build all the characters especially last minute. If you need a situational item, buy one. I often switch my build depending on who the enemy is. Shaco is one of the greatest junglers. He can stack his box's over time to destroy minions, monsters, and even trick people into a free kill.

Shaco's skills are very situational and can be used for many combos. Use your jack in the box to stack wards near entrances and exits of the jungle. You may also find it useful to place a box down when running away from an enemy in order to fear them. Make sure you have enough time to put down the box. When you find yourself in a bush near an enemy use his Deceive to teleport invisibly behind an enemy opponent and deal massive damage to them while their back is turned. You may also use deceive to catch an enemy by teleporting forward and hitting them with your shiv. You can use deceive to teleport away from your enemy in any direction. Try running in one direction but teleporting in the other. Use your Two-Shiv Poison to slow them from a distance or when they are trying to flee from you. Use hallucinate in a bush to confuse your enemy. Remember even though one of the shaco's is green, the opponent sees both as red. You can also use hallucinate to deal double damage to a stunned or slowed opponent. If the opponent is not stunned or slowed then the cast time of Hallucinate may cause the enemy to escape. You have mild control over your clone. You can use him to tank towers. You can even use your hallucinate ability to dodge abilities or even an ultimate if timed correctly. Use the move timed with the ultimate to turn invincible for a short period of time.

Kill red first by stacking boxes behind him before he spawns. Gank. Kill Blue. Gank. And you get the picture. Shaco is one of the best junglers.

Do not be afraid to be creative and stray from your normal routine of things. If you have a pattern, your enemy will adapt to it if they are smart enough. In other words, do not be predictable.
