Philospohers stone and golden heart are just not neccesary because u don't need the extra gold if u play good
Runes
I don't have Runes and i don't need anything, but it's still easy to kill enemys
But if u want.....
Irelia is a off-Tank and in early game u have not very much lifes therefor u take the the life runes
U can choose between armor and magic resist runes
The mana is good to farm very good in early game where u run easy out of mana
