Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
My first build and I am still messing with it, but it's pretty much a standard build, nothing too special here. I can kill dragon at 5/6 and solo baron at 17/18
When I first saw this champion i instantly thought, she is a perfect jungler. She has the life steal, the damage, and the mobility to easily maneuver through your teams, or the enemy's jungle with ease.
The way i like to play, by the rune/skill set up, is I like to hit and run.
Irelia heals from each attack, not a certain %. More hits = more health back and more survivability. So I like to stack ATK speed so when I buy items I am able to buy more DMG items or HP items instead of trying to get that + atk speed. By 18 you will be hitting fast and hard. Your Life steal + self heal should be able to keep you in the fight as long as you do over commit yourself. Once focused on its a good idea to back out quickly then jump back in.
I get the zeal before the blood thirster just for the extra speed; both atk and run. It lets me run in gank a lane then go back to farming. The items on the list seem expensive but you can easily farm very quickly, kill the dragon at 6 and solo baron at 17/18.

- Frozen Mallet is for team fights, mainly. Irelia dies very quickly. If you need to get a guardian angel or replace one of the later items for a defense/health item. the Frozen mallet lets you easily keep enemies close when you chase and keeps you fighting longer. without it you wont survive long, once the fight starts.
Solo fights are pretty Easy. Auto atk, Auto heal Q in, hit W and E them for the stun, if your health is low, or for the slow so they cant run away. Once they start running Hit R and Spam it. Any Champion will go down quickly, even tanks if you have the Bloodrazer.
For team fights Q in on a squishy target, or one with lower health. Quickly hit your W and E then run back out of the messy Blob of killing. Once your out you can either Q back in for another kill, or keep atacking the other team. Each situation is different so just adjust accordingly.
The items after Frozen mallet can all be changed for whatever you feel would better fit the game. With blood razer and the insane atk speed you will be healing and 4% dmging very quickly to any champion, so there is no need to stick to the build 100% to kill the other team.
With this build.
