Kassadin takes 15% reduced magic damage and transforms this damage into bonus attack speed.
Explanation:
OP passive, helps you to hold lane early against AP (if you are against an AD you either need to Wriggle's or switch lanes, with the latter being preferred). Lategame this actually matters - if the enemy team's AP has a thing for you or if they use a lot of AOE spells that damage you, then even with an AD build you'll ramp up to 2.000+ attack speed, which kind of sucks for the other team if you have 300+ AD and 25% Lifesteal.
Q: Null Sphere
Kassadin fires a void bolt dealing 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+70% of ability power) magic damage and silencing the target for 1 / 1.4 / 1.8 / 2.2 / 2.6 seconds.
Cooldown 9 seconds
Cost 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110mana

Explanation:
OP earlygame for trades, lategame for teamfights against enemy AP. If you take Exhaust as a summoner and always silence their AP, Exhaust their AD, you'll be surprised how many teamfights you win. Take this and semi-spam it in lane, mana permitting, to keep lane control. It's useful to silence lane opponent when you want to go for a last-hit, or you can use it to last-hit a creep directly if you won't miss it while it's on cooldown.
W: Nether Blade
Passive: Kassadin's melee attacks draw energy from the void, restoring 8/11/14/17/20 mana each hit. If this effect is triggered from attacking a champion the amount of mana restored is tripled.
Active: Kassadin charges his nether blade, gaining 30/45/60/75/90 (+0.15 ability power) bonus magic damage dealt on hit for 5 seconds.

OP earlygame to build . OP lategame to trigger your and to add some damage to each attack; coupled with red buff you'll be dealing a lot of damage per hit.
E: Force Pulse
Kassadin draws energy from spells cast in his vicinity, gaining a charge whenever a spell is cast near him. Upon reaching 6 charges, Kassadin can use Force Pulse to deal 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+70% of ability power) magic damage and slow enemies by 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% in a cone in front of him for 3 seconds.

Explanation:
OP skill on AP Kassadin; more of a utility skill on AD Kassadin. Take a few points early to get its base damage up and to give you a powerful ++ combo, but then ease off until lategame when you'll mainly spam it in teamfights for AOE soft CC + damage. Deals identical damage to your Q.
R: Riftwalk
Kassadin teleports to a nearby location dealing 60 / 90 / 120 (+50% of ability power) magic damage to surrounding enemy units. Additionally, each subsequent Riftwalk in the next 7 seconds costs 100 additional mana and deals 60 / 90 / 120 additional damage.
