Introduction
Runes
Marks: I use magic pen runes, it has been explained in many other guides (thanks alot to their creators!) that magic pen is better than pretty much anything dmg wise, if nothing else in early game.
Glyphs and seals: I know this might be overboard for some but the way I play early game, I find myself using every bit of mana (using this setup) to harass. This alone does it for me, since she's a very strong harasser.

I use clarity beceause even tho I run with mp5 glyphs/seals I still find myself running out of mana early game and sometimes mid game, I always want to limit the number of times I need to back simply beceause you're losing exp in the process. Also I like beeing the mana battery in my lanes.
Skill order:
I put a point in light binding at level 1 for a possible gank, after that I level it along with lucent singularity, which I keep 1 levl above the other. Why? Simply beceause it goes through mobs so it's much easier to harass with it.
I know alot of ppl like to put a point in Prismatic Barrier at level 4 but I personally don't like it, more dmg is more dmg right? We'll get that shield by the time it matters.

The items in this build are more of a guideline of what you should use. Depending on the other team some items are better than others. For exemple, if the other team has a few tanky champions, swapping morelo's evil tome for a deathfire grasp is not a bad idea. If they have assassins an hourglass might be better than a rylais. Try to estimate who's a danger on the other team, who's fed and how to counter them.
Also, I'll add that if there is a teemo, a eve or a twitch on the other team, you should be the one to buy oracles. They will probably try to target you for that but you have such long range spells it rly shouldn't matter much (especially with a snare and a damage shield).

When you wish to ult in a teamfight try to put a light charge on the whole team with your lucent singularity beforehand. Your ult will consume the charge, dealing extra dmg and placing a new light charge on your targets.
That shield of yours doesn't only look pretty, in a teamfight it's totally overpowered. Try to hit your whole team with it. At 400-500ish ap you'll shield your allies with a shield that absorbs around 300 dmg...twice! You can definitely change the outcome of a teamfight with this.
Lux has the potential to be one of the best ap burst, but in order to be successful you have to land your skillshots and land them in the right order. The basic idea is to snare your target, send your lucent singularity, ult and then blow up your lucent singularity. People often don't expect such a high burst coming from lux. I've seen /all WTF more than once after killing ppl in a single combo.

I have 460 something wins atm and about 410 losses, idk what ELO that makes me but I think I'm a decent player and very low elo games are behind me. I'm not saying that to brag or anything, I just want to make sure people don't discard my build thinking it was done in low levl games.
Here's a match history to show you guys how I often end up using this build.
I hope this guide will be useful to some, and please comment/rate! :)
