Welcome to my first guide on Mobafire! Before I go any further I ask that you try the build out before rating, nothing is more frustrating than people downrating a build without trying it. A few things I should mention before I go any further with the build.

- You are not a tank, don't play Riven if you want to take a lot of damage
Expect to be targeted first!
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different items!
- People are going to cry saying you are OP, that riven is just a new OP champ, thats wrong. If riven gets focused right by the enemy team she will die very fast.
- So you are SQUISHIE! :)

PS: I'm trying to improve this build. Riven is a new champ and some comments are very appreciated to edit my build, and make it much better. I just experimented with her and this is the result.

Because you are so squishie i prefer some armor and magic resist runes to be a little more protected specially early game. I'm a summoner that likes to do everything to stay so long as possible in my lane! And with 3 Greater quintessences of vigor i finish it with some health regen ;)

Like i said above, i'm a summoner that likes to stay a very long time in lane. So i start with some armor buying cloth armor and 3 health pots. My intention is to get wriggle's lantern and bots of speed when turning back to spawn for the first time. This will let you farm very well and the bots of speed will give you enough speed to escape or avoid skillshots. In combo with your VALOR, you are almost impossible to be harassed by someone like Lux or Morgana etc... Later in the game i will finish my boots to Mercury's, for me the most useful boots for her. You need to burst damage and be fast and deadly, so thats the way you need to play. One simply slow or snare can get you killed in 2 sec ;)

The following item i take is Ghostblade. This item is so nice to have, so fast as possible, and gives you a HUG AD boost just before mid game, 15 % cooldown and an active that gives you wings! One good surprise combo and say goodbye to any non extremely feeded enemy ;)

Next we will build now is PURE AD, Riven is a AD BURST Champ. Just like the past new champ Talon. We need to NUKE AD, and get some survive ability where we can. The bf sword will give us what we need, finishing off to the Black Cleaver, we will have nice Crit chance with our wriggle's and ghostblade, and a tint of attacspeed on CR.

- Frozen Mallet (health)
- Guardians Angel
