She can be quiet lethal if played right, charming someone is a bit like a stun and pull at same time, during this time she can deal a lot of damage and if someone on low health tries to get away, or your on low health and flash is on cooldown, you can chase them down or run away with R.
Why ignite?
Ahri is rather squishy so shes all about damage. Use E to pull them in then using ignite as you use Q and W is very effective in taking down enemies.
Why buy lost chapter first?
I feel you run out of mana quiet fast at the start so adding that bit of extra mana helps you keep the pressure on with the added AP.
