Introduction
Because Shen is so tanky, you can be really helpful to your teammates. What I like in 3v3 with Shen is to Top with someone and with in the bush to taunt the person that comes in first when the minions arrives. A good trick to that is when there's a teemo that's invis near you to kill him. If your ally has an ignite, you could maybe kill him even after he flashes. Because you top with shen, I almost always play against an enemy with ignite. This is where the advantage of heal comes in. Because of that, when we turret dive or kill someone and my friend runs off with near to 0 hp, I can heal him and save him. That advantage is always neglected for a reason I don't know. This is a huge advantage because with that, you can save your ally and then go kill dragon or go get buffs is they're available. Plus, you could save your teammate's kill streak :D
If you can, you should always buy wards. Personally, I often buy vision wards for the red and another normal ward for the dragon until it becomes possible to do it. Once the dragon can be killed by the other team, I often buy a vision ward and ward it to prevent them from gaining sight of the dragon. After the dragon is dead, it is always a good idea to ward the dragon with normal wards. Next, you should always try to be the first one to engage most of the time. Don't get baited and always wait to taunt their DPS before anything. In the team fight, after taunting their DPS, they will mostly focus the DPS of your team. This is when you judge if you ult him or not. Most of the time I will ult him and while I'm ulting, I pop out my heal when my teammates are at about 70% hp to gain a great amount of health. Another advantage of Shen's ult is when your friend is engaging for a 1v1. Most of the time, I tell my friend to try to do a 1v1 since I can ult and then taunt the enemy. This is one of the great advantages of Shen. Here is an example of the recent wins I made with my team:
