i do use a similar build for my kog actually ;) but i see ricochete as an added bonus dmg that makes sivir deadly in team fights. Your primary target will get the brunt of your attack and the on hit affects, everyone else in the area takes a fair amount of damage at the same time, thats always been enough

The effect may not proc on-hit, but to chace its a good choise. I play sivir as well and mallet in mid game and late game allied to attack speed and crit, give me a big advantage :)

Ricochet doesn't proc on-hit effects like Bloodrazor or Frozen Mallet, therefore this build doesn't make much use of her best ability. You could get better results by using this build on somebody like Kog'Maw.
