You're right about MS being strong on
What you have [is] easily questionable and up-for-debate.
If you want an example, I suppose I can give one. When I said I didn't have time, that was then. When I said it at the time, it was true (I had to pack for a flight). You took it out of context when you looked at my recent posts when I actually did have time. Didn't really think about this guide again until it showed up on the newsfeed slightly more recently.

Other things to comment on are basic things you should already know - you don't max a skill by level 9 and inefficient mastery speccing. It's rarely beneficial to take points past 21, since you usually spec the first 20 points in order to get that last spec in each tree; only possible exception being the defensive tree MAYBE. The other point is that there's not really usually much point speccing 14 points into a utility tree just to spend it on 3% spellvamp/lifesteal, not when better choices are most certainly available.
Thank you for the substantive criticisms. It's just really annoying to get downvotes with no suggestions on what is actually wrong with the build(s). Moving on.
I understand your complaint about Philo delaying getting Sheen and its damage. I do rush Sheen if I feel I can trade favorably without the regen from Philo to help sustain along with the pots, but keep in mind that Poppy really does have terrible mana regen, relatively high mana costs, and bad health regen. Unless I expect Sheen to let me bully the other guy pretty hard, Philo is usually the better route IMO because it will let me stay healthy in lane without backing too often to replenish pots, and of course give gold over time. I thought I had talked about these two alternative choices but I will have another look and more explicitly mention the Sheen strategy you advocate.
As for Philo not building into anything useful, I really disagree. I already explain in the guide at considerable length why I like to have serious mana regen on Poppy -- she is very mana hungry when you're spamming -- and Mikael's is a pretty good vehicle for it, since you can use the active to heal yourself (making your incredibly good passive even more effective) or a teammate. (And yeah, I have my ult, but it doesn't mean I could never use a clutch heal.) You can disagree about the importance of a mana item on Poppy, but I don't know why a legitimate difference of opinion would be grounds for considering a downvote. Do you think it's actually wrong to advocate a mana item on Poppy?
Philo also builds into Shurelya's, which can help you and your team engage, disengage, or chase -- movespeed is very strong on Poppy IMO. I believe Zekent AKA Spamhappy swears by this item.
As for not maxing a skill by 9, that was an error I had made on some of the builds and thank you for pointing it out; I have corrected it.
As for the masteries, the 16/0/14 is not one I usually go with; it was just one I think can work. I will weed through my mastery section to winnow the list. I stand by 3/27/0 as a good way to maximise your defenses for early game: it gives health regen which synergizes with Poppy's passive; gives health, armor, and magic res; gives tenacity and slow reduction; and gives damage reduction. As for my 26/4/0 jungle masteries, I think Poppy needs all the clear speed she can muster, and can live without the health mastery points in Defense.
Come to think of it, though, the extra crit damage won't do me any good without crit chance, so that doesn't really help early clears; so I think I'll shift it back over to armor in the Defense tree. Now it's 23/7/0; that's a lot closer to the common 21/9 ideal. You know, fine, whatever, I'll bow to peer pressure this once. It's down to 21/9/0. The 23/1/6 Tiamat masteries stay, though; I want the 6 points in Utility for item active cooldown, and the one point for smite, and that leaves 2 points to go wherever and they might as well go in Offense.
In conclusion, thank you again for the detailed feedback. As you can see, one of the things you hated about my guide was nothing but an ERROR. And you managed to convince me to change my mind on another point. Possibly my reply will cause you to at least respect my opinion on another point. This is why I pressed you to give specific grievances. It made my build better, and if my build improves enough, maybe you'll upvote -- or if not, at least it will still be better.
Too late bro. Why do you even review guides you aren't willing to, well, review? Why will you have extended conversations with incoherent ramblers (I glanced at your comment history) but claim you don't have time to waste on actual constructive criticism?
Um... I'm not reviewing this guide? I just gave it a downvote. I'm not obliged to give it a review, either. If I think it's bad for whatever reason, I'm not obliged to review it before giving it a downvote. Nor do I need to provide constructive criticism.
Look, you have 10
What you have in place instead is where the flaws are slightly more subtle, but far more easily questionable and up-for-debate.

Give you a downvote.

Nah. For a comprehensive guide, there are far too many questionable things in here to even remotely consider an upvote. Nor can I even be bothered to list them. I'm just gonna downvote.
Too many to list? Give me the greatest hits version. Give me an example.
Give me a break.
Your items i would have to say are pretty terrible. Not that the items you recommend give bad stats its just that they are some of the most expensive items in the game and most of the time as poppy you wont ever have that much money nor will you be able to complete your item build. Dont bother with trinity force on poppy anymore, it is just to expensive and doesnt give her the stats that ice born guantlet does. On demand slow, mana, cdr, armor, and the sheen procs for burst. It works so well with poppy's ultimate seeing you will get more q's off. Fix your item choices
I understand your reasons for liking Iceborn over Trinity, and I'll give that item another look when I'm facing an AD lane opponent. But Trinity is in no way inferior IMO. I find that with Iceborn, even with the slow I sometimes have a hard time sticking to people, especially if they have some kind of movement skill like a lot of champs do. Trinity's slow plus movespeed ensures I will be able to follow them, and gives much better autoattacking instead of relying much more heavily on my Qs with Iceborn. As for the expense of the items, admittedly I don't get to 6 items in most games, but it's more about which items give you the most bang for your buck rather than how close you are to full build. And I do get to 5 or 6 items in some games.
Still, like I said, I am willing to admit I haven't given Iceborn the consideration that it deserves for certain matchups and I'll be trying it out. Thanks for the feedback!
