Introduction

From the day I picked up Riot Girl Tristana for free on Facebook, I've fallen in love with the BFG weilding Yordle. I've been playing and playing her into the ground until I've gotten to the point where I feel completely comfortable taking her under any circumstance.

Tristana is the hardest carry I've played to date. I will take her over Caitlyn, Vayne, Miss Fortune or even Gangplank. She is almost never banned, she fits in with most team compositions and she is that killshot that nobody sees coming. After all, how could such a cute little package cause so much devastation?

Well, suit up (preferably in a fireman's suit) and get ready to roll the opposition!

About this Guide

This guide is intended to leap-frog the trial-and-error process that I had to use to find the right build for The Meggling Gunner. This guide will detail eash item choice with reasoning. This guide will provide gameplay suggestions and strategies. I will include some situational tips and all-around advice for how to get your team to victory.

Tristana is a carry, and a hard one at that. She requires patience and intelligence. This guide alone will get your neither kills nor wins. This guide, hopefully, will give you the insight necessary to successfully play the hardest carry in the game. I will try to provide some of the common mistakes I'd made when growing accustomed to the style of play that Tristana requires to be successful.

Pros / Cons

Why do I play Tristana? Why should you? There are many things going for the Yordle and some things going against her. Here are the pluses/minuses that I see for the cutest gun in the game.

Great Seperation Abilities / Escape Mechanics
Deals Damage Like a Boss / Bursty as F***

Cons

Squishy
Slow
Reliant on Team
Focused Quickly

Tristana's list may look familiar to you if you've read a guide for any other carry. It's their primary balance: deal lots of damage but doesn't take it well.

Tristana does, however, have some pro's that outrank her cons. Her range and her passive make her such a tremendous lane presence that few will ever push her out without help. My build is geared towards minimizing her cons while emphasizing her pros.
