When farming try to keep your ferocity at a max. This will help if you get into a fight. Don't auto-attack minions that are at full health this will lead to a critical hit most of the time leaving the minion with just enough health for your minion wave to finish off.

The best way to play Tryndamere is to get critical strike items. This is important because his Bloodlust(Q) is his major source of sustain while in lane. DON'T ENGAGE ON SOMEONE IF YOU DON'T HAVE ANY STACKS OF FEROCITY. This is crucial. These stacks at full will give you a 35% chance to critical hit. So every 3rd attack will do 200% more damage. This effect will also apply if you have lifesteal.

When using your skills as Trydnamere try auto-attacking first. This will more than likely cause your opponent to back off if you have your Ferocity up. When they first turn their back to you throw up your Mocking Shout(W) this will slow them and give you a few more auto-attacks. Finish this combo with your Spinning Slash(E). Why it for last you say? Spinning Slash is used last because it can be used to engage or disengage. Closing to distance with Spinning Slash (E) may not killing so if they go to their tower go back to the wave and farm use Bloodlust(Q) right after the fight so you can maximize your health gain.

Trydnamere is an absolute bomb in the top lane from anywhere from Silver to gold tier. He is tricky to lane against if you have never played as him or against him. Split pushing is a powerful tool to position for other objectives or simply cause an enemy team to back off of pressing towers.

This Champion is more of a clean up guy. If you straight engage with him you will have your ult popped in 2 seconds and died right after. The best way to play him is to go from behind on their team. This is a good idea because most of their CC will be wasted and you will have a good chance to kill the ADC on the enemy team.

If you are lucky to get golems on your top lane take them when you are about to back. This is an instant 100 gold for a ward and a pot. Also builds up a lot faster than you think.
