I finally tried this guide and phase rush seems really good on zac, especially jak'sho made me immortal. About the pet idk which one would be better, but i think it might be situatuational? But i liked the tenacity from the green one, since if I can't move on zac i got blown up... now with jak'sho you are still tanky rooted but idk

That's great to hear. Yeah i'd say the pet is situational, and really depends on enemy CC. Leona, Morgana, Thresh, etc.. i would go green pet and perhaps even aftershock, as their CC chains can get you blown up. But normally, red pet and phase rush is just so strong.

Why go green smite? It only gives a shield that doesn't scale with anything but lvl and at 18 it gives around 300 hp shield which is laughable and the little bit of tenacity only lasts while shield is up and for a couple of seconds after it's destroyed .This is so bad! Red smite deals TRUE DMG equal to 4% of the target's max hp and also slows them. In what world do you build this trash green smite?

Yeah i'm still experimenting and kinda moving towards going for red smite. Green help Zac not gjetting CC'ed late game, but red helps his burst potensial. I'd say green could be good if the enemy have hard CC like morgana/leona, but otherwise red is best.

You suggest to build anathema's chain, but isn't it more worth to rush sunfire or a mythic?(especially if it's heartsteel, but i feel like it's really bad on zac since if your team is not that good you will never scale enough without high damage items like old sunfire)

Yeah that's a valid point. My reasoning for going anathema's is the stats for the low price, and the passive to deal with enemy jungler harassment (or chaining a lane where your team has non-knockup CC).

I haven't really been satisfied with any of the mythic items, and since Zac scales so well off HP i've just had better experiences with starting Anathema's. But this highly depends on your playstyle and the enemy team, so i'd say it's situational.

On heartsteel: my experience from heartsteel is that it's too hard to proc as you can't auto during your ult (and it's hard to stay alive without ulting, especially late-game). If you know some tricks i'd be happy to hear it though.

Thanks! Yeah i'm currently in the same position, which is why i change the build frequently right now. Will also update it with tips and tricks as i figure it out :)
