15 layers, sounds like a lot, but compared to the first version of your kitty one (the 2.8mb one) that's nothing. (was around 100 or so. Nummy)

Yeah, I stupidly didn't realize I can apply my "technique" for making the style of background AFTER I had already made the first one @_@. And rather than just start fresh (it was super late last night) I decided to to go in and try to erase the top half off of each frame @_@.
For the kitty sig the animation was simple, I just duplicated layers and then had the program extrapolate it out, this one each frame was duplicated and displaced etc etc. @_@ it felt long to me lol.

EDIT: Remembered how to lower file size. Filters > Animation > Optimize (For GIF)
About the same size as your original now.
EDIT: Woops, forgot to leave the pause in there... not too big a deal though, looks nice.
