Tip 1: Attractive title
People will scroll through the guides, and they need to be convinced that your guide is better than the other ones :P
An attractive title may help :P
Tip 2: Attractive build
You can see the build before you click on the guide.
Abuse this fact :P
Presenting a different build (but effective!) might get more interested readers :P
Tip 3: Advertise
No, do not go to the forums and spam how awesome your guide is.
Also do not go to other guides to do that.
The way how you can advertise is by the following:
* Spamming on different sites; I mean, here you can get banned, but who cares if you do it on youtube or so :P
* Signatures; Pretty much everyone uses this way, just put a link to your guide in your signatures, and people might click on it :D
Tip 4: Support
You can find some incredibly bad guides with above the 70%, this is because they have a lot of friends.
I am not saying that you should ask every random person on earth to +1 your guide, no, I am asking that you do your best for the Mobafire community, because if they love you, they will read your stuff :D
Tip 5: Updates
Keep your guide updated.
When S3 came out, the first thing I did was updating my guide.
And updating, and updating, but it was S3 content.
I was one of the first that was S3 ready, and that gave me a looooot of views :P
The same goes with patches and stuff :D
These are very simple yet very effective tips.
They can increase your amount of readers by a lot :O
Good luck :D

Well, I tried to make the name attractive or at least different, I tried to make the guide attractive, I didn't make a very different build (very similar to PsiGuard's, now that I think about it, with a couple differences) because it was I thought worked best, I update the guide once every day, if only to make minor adjustments or to take a suggestion given me by one of the... seven or eight people who have commented, I don't trust or use other sites, especially LoLKing because it's abused so much, I have my guide in my signature after finally figuring out how to do it, and... I honestly just don't have many friends because I've been focusing on school and work. The one friend I have in LoL voted for me (RealMouse) but that was it. So far, I've been trying to let the guide stand on its own as good while I try to make it better, but it simply isn't getting any attention.
Still, thanks for at least replying. A dozen people simply viewed it and said nothing. I appreciate someone at least taking the time to give me some tips.

Bribe Meiyjhe with bananas might get you some attention :D
Wanted to say updating it, but read you do that daily, so just adding 1 thing, update it around 3 PM once PST and once CET. Thats about the time most people are on, so they will probably see it.
Ask reviewers to review your guide. There are tons out there, so increases votes and comments a bit.

What I'm wondering is, how do I get people to look at my guide? I turned on Force Comments so I understand why people picked what they did, even though I realize this could drive away those early 13 other votes before it's disabled. I also haven't participated much in the community because I've been focused on increasing my level and my skill in League of Legends on my own, so I don't really have many, if any, friends on the site. It doesn't bode well for me, so I'd like to know what I need to do to get my guide some attention, positive or negative. I understand that there will be downvotes in the future; no guide is perfect, and there are people who will simply vote negatively because they can. What I really want is true, positive, constructive feedback, support, and, if necessary, criticism of my guide so I can improve it. I can't do that, because I honestly haven't got much of a clue what to do next.
Any tips?
