Is anyone else seeing my post at the top instead of the original poster or is just a bug on my side? Also atmas afterwards is almost self-explanatory seeing as its stupidly cost efficient and going in the "best of both" direction in giving damage and armor (survivability).

If I helped +Rep, if I didn't then +Rep the person who did.
I always thought about making Tryndamere a sort of "off-tank" through buying Warmogs.
I gave it a few tests, and found it quite succesfull - Dealing loads of damage while being tanky enough to stay in the battle without having to pop ultimate 2seconds in it with 10hp back.
So I gave it a try, and here are my results:

What are your thoughts on this? Full damage, or can off-tank be viable for him?

So you buy it AFTER you offensive items?
Not really that special then....
And no, Tryn needs his crits to deal damage.
Sure, he can still do that as a off-tank, but it will take longer time to build up.

ALL HAIL QUEEN CHRYSALIS!
Infinity + Phantom is fine for damage, still cutting them down.
Warmogs is when the more 'serious' team fights begin, and I get tanky by then. But it functions godlike.

Frozen mallet is good in a lot of cases.
Wmogg's would only be viable in maybe 5% or less of your games.

Yes, but for the first 20-30 minutes in the game your are still a glass canon.
Building a warmongs after a bunch of offensive items do not make it as an "off-tank build"

You would of course build atma's after the warmogg's, it wouldn't make sense not to do so :P
I should add that Warmogg's is misunderstood. It's not -bad- to do what Taneren did there under some circumstances.
For example, I had a game with Akali where I rushed Gunblade/Lich Bane, and got blown up in two consecutive fights. I killed my target everytime but got so much focus that I died.
My next Item was Warmogg's and we immediately won, because next fight I killed 2 targets and didn't die thanks to the HP bonus. The funny thing about glass cannon squishies like an AD carry is once you can kill them in one combo, that one combo can usually kill them for good whenever ignite is up to remove their lifesteal tanking power. I knew they would die to my combo at this point without building more damage.
Same can be true for Tryn, although he's a touch different. Generally the Frozen Mallet is the better pick up.

Trynd is like the best tank in the game.... he is always focused, and he refuses to die, IMO his ult lasts just as long as a good team fight should, and wiith life steal you should be fine, tanky items besides maybe frozen mallet aren't really necessary for tryndamere. unless youre extremely under fed.

Ive always thought tryndamere should build tanky late game but i rarely see people do it. IDK just people aren't good at building in my elo.
