Anastasios' S3 Ranked Fun Times

Last season i didn't really have a goal, i was just playing ranked for the hell of it, treating it pretty much like normal draft, and finishing with 1172 elo. This season my goals are: - Get to 1500 if possible, otherwise as high as i can. - If i reach 1500 relatively easily, raise the bar by 100 elo. Repeat when/if new goal is reached. - Improve my map awareness and positioning. - Learn the flow of the lanes, how to freeze, how to trade effectively, et cetera. - Get a deep knowledge of the jungle. - Understand what counters what and why. Of course, many of these can be achieved in normals too, but ranked is a completely different environment. I will play Top, Mid, Jungle and Support, only picking up ADC if i have no other choice, or if i become comfortable enough with the role. We couldn't CC anyone, so we left and went for our lanes. Eve was too scared to do blue, so she got destroyed by the jungle mobs and was severely underleveld. She went top to get some exp, and gave first blood. Needless to say, top lane completely dominated Fiora as a 2v1. At bottom we were pushing hard, taking advantage of the fact that ez had a [[doran's blade]]. Ali had a [[meki pendant]] though, so he could keep healing. We got a few kills on them, but Ahri got a double kill on us after a somewhat chaotic engage. Ashe and Xin were pretty fed, and i warded the bottom lane constatly, while the enemy team didn't have much vision. We ended up with a 16/1 Ashe, and after a couple of aces and a baron, we took 2 inhibitors and they surrendered at 33 minutes. [/spoiler][/quote]

Anyway, I started at my red, ganked mid getting veigar very low, and then caught jax at his wraiths and out of mana. Fizz and i get 2 kills, since veigar came to help with minimal health. Olaf goes bottom since Jarvan refuses to, and they have plenty of problems vs Ashe. I try to gank but they keep pushing the lane with Q's. After several daeths, Veigar is incredibly weak, but Fizz rushes a Rylai's, that imo is a horrible decision. Anyway, long story short, Ashe gets fed, Jarvan never communicates, Veigar and Jax make a comeback, and we lose after they take Baron. Time to probably start queuedodging if things look grim. Entire enemy team was pretty derpy, with a tristana/teemo bottom lane, who got slaughtered. Sivir and Katarina got incredibly fed on them, and Rengar gor very strong too. Shen was having some problems with Xin top, as we had left him alone, but after a 3-man gank on him we got top turret and he was able to take part in teamfights. Well, there werne't really any teamfights, we just found lone targets and isntagibbed them. And in a 5v5, Kata just ulted and annihilated everything, with Sivir and Rengar cleaning up the remains. Enemy picked [[cassiopeia]], so i decided to go with my favorite [[Lux]]. We started with a succesful invade, and chogath walked with 2 kills and blue, while i was 0/1/5. However, we quickly lost the advantage, since Taric wasn't a very effective support leading to a lost bottom lane, and i got destroyed by Cass who had Sorc shoes, while i got Chalice. Garen also lost hard to Darius. Cho'gath was a huge dick, flaming everyone, but admittedly he was good. After i saw that we would lose, i decided to get this shit together, and warded everything (since Taric had no intention to), resulting in a crushing win in a teamfight that brought us back in the game, since Alistar was picked off as he was trying to engage from the side, and Cass was denied a good ult. After that we got an inhibitor, baited Baron for another won teamfight, and the enemy team surrendered. [/spoiler] Wards win games. However, Kayle lost top very hard, especially after Jax tried to gank irelia while he was at low HP, giving her 2 kills. Bottom was losing too, and Diana got all the blue buffs and ganked bottom, getting many kills. To summarise, we got stomped hard. But anyways, it happens. All lanes were losing, but not too much; as soon as we started moving as a team, we crushed them, and it was obvious they were very disorganised. I caught some of them all alone in the jungle, and, well, Malz kinda annihilates almost everyone 1v1. In the teamfights, i just used Q+W on everyone, and then ulted Jax or Khazix, who were the biggest threats. My farm wasn't what i was hoping it would be, but after almost 3 months of not playing Malzahar, his AA animation looked really slow, and i couldn't lasthit aeffectively. Anyway, Everyone calls a lane and i'm left with either ADC or support, so, Blitzcrank it is. Our team: -Riven top -Kassadin mid -Jarvan jungle -Blitz (me) and Teemo bot. I was kind of confused about the teemo pick, but i think he had no ADCs among his champions. Oh well. Their team was even weirder. -Shaco + Alistar top (i guess they wanted Blitz, but i got it first) -Ziggs mid -GP + Draven bot. Me and teemo lost bot pretty hard, since we were getting poked a lot and couldn't go all in either. However, Jarvan did a great job and snowballed the other lanes, meaning Teemo's non-existent damage wasn't much of an issue. The enemy team flamed Shaco and Alistar a lot, since they had failed to do what they expected (lots and lots of kills on Riven through headbut-->JitB), and overall they were pretty disorganised. We weren't much of a "team" either, but Kassadin was like 25/1, and jarvan was 7/1/32, so it didn't even matter. New elo: 1357.[/quote]
