Well it looks like people are finally picking up on just how good 
Talon is in solo q, his win rate in platinum, diamond and challenger across the major servers has been among the top 5 highest for quite some time, so I wouldn't be surprised if Talon became a common pick/ban.

Well before there were better options for assassins, but now that pretty much everyone of those got nerfed Talon is simply the next in line to be The Assassin of Midlane (maybe together with Akali) and to get nerfed once he gets popular :/.
P.s.On the bright side at least you are playing vs D1s and you know you are good enough to beat them, in lane at least.
