Thanks dude. Yep, pretty happy about it. Latest game: Everyone got their preferred role, every lane did well, good communication, game was over about 15 minutes in.
Thing I learned from this game: Small advantages can and should be pressed into large advantages. I often err on the side of caution, because I tend to follow the "dying less is almost always a good thing" stat, but our bot lane made some daring calls for dragons or dives that I'm not sure I would've taken myself, and they worked out great and allowed us to snowball.
Anyway, forgot screenshot, so lolking'd it. Big 26 LP for this guy, so good to see that I'm still getting good gains!

Haven't posted in a bit, and I just spent about 15 mins writing out a post and then my safari crashed unexpectedly. Grrrr. Ok, the brief points: I got bored with my champion pool, decided to try out some new champs in ranked (stupid!) and went on a massive losing streak. I was fearing demotion, and played terribly. Can't blame alot of the losses on feeders and trolls. Here is the tail end of the bad games:

However, picked up the pieces, managed to climb back up. Went back to playing comfort champs, and added Diana into the rotation. Really fun champ imo, and very strong still I think. Deals well with alot of the most popular picks. Here are my last four games:

Anyway, as it stands now, I'm at 96 LP in Gold II. Not sure if next win will get me in promos. I think the losing streak killed my MMR, not getting as big gains, but still pretty decent, so we'll see!

Back up in promos! This time for Gold I. Serious nervousness going around now. Had to play top this game, enemy team first picked Shen. I went ahead and picked Jax, I like this playing this matchup because if left alone Jax reaches a point where he can just clobber Shen. Anyway, game was pretty frustrating. Shen and Vi were duo, and Vi camped top more than I've ever seen a jungler camp a lane. Came top at level 2 after getting her blue buff, left, came back at level 3 without having red buff, and proceeded to just sit in the lane bush for 3 full minutes while our Mao took our blue, red, and then cleared out her entire red side jungle. So I got denied very hard but it didn't matter because they had no pressure anywhere else on the map. I was able to cancel a Shen ult to bot lane at level 7 that resulted in us getting 3 kills bot, tower and dragon, even though I died to Shen and Vi (who of course was still top). Their team wasn't very good, so happy to get the win, even if my cs was garbage. On to promos!

Taking a break from ranked cuz I was pretty on tilt after my promos. Made the mistake of saying "hey guys, in promos, would appreciate everyone tryharding" in champ select, so some jerk in my first game said "im already plat, we don't want you scrub", instalocks teemo and calls mid when we already had annie, but proceeds to follow me around jungle trying to steal my camps. Tried to make the most of the situation, but whenever we would get in fights we could actually win, teemo would just walk away and say "pz nerd".
So that was fun. ANYWAY, I thought this was a cool game, even though it wasn't ranked. I think my normal MMR is pretty high, because whenever I queue for normals I'm usually against plats and a few diamonds (I don't know if this is exactly how it works, or if it's just random, but I assume it's like that). Anyway, every once in a while, I get queued with some people I recognize. Didn't even notice ecko on my team in champ select, then figured it out when I saw HeartbeaT on the other team.
Was a bit nervous cuz I was just trying out this WW setup, but I did alright, so it's all good. MVP of the match really was Cho, I didn't give him any help top, and he just destroyed that lane.

Anyway, I reached gold 1! Hurrah. Took me 3 promo series to do it, but it's done now. First two series were really rough, I played bad, teams were pretty ragey, etc.
The third series though, finally broke through. First game was very rough, we lost even though we were up in kills 33-18. We were against an AP Trynd mid who completely owned the game with splitpushing. Varus kept thinking he could stop the split, and ended up just dying over and over after he was so fed. Really bad game, we just should've grouped as 5 and dove towers earlier to force them to do something. Oh well.
NExt game I pulled out the Warwick jungle! Oddly, I'm 4-0 with WW in ranked rofl. Perhaps I should only play the wolf lol. Easy game, won all over the map.
Final game is below. We tried pretty hard to throw a couple times, but we were so far ahead it didn't matter. Bot gave up a double kill to Ez like 3 minutes into the game, I feared the worst, but Ahri was playing great and I was able to camp bot and get them kills, and Vlad vs Cho was a total farmfest.
Anyway, gold 1! Feeling pretty burnt out to be honest. Really want Plat, but I'm not sure I'm good enough to get it, We'll see.

This was in all honesty a pretty dumb game. Our bot trist and annie decided to lane swap so garen wouldn't get kited by top vayne, and promptly fed a double kill to their vayne when aatrox predictably ganked top after buffs. I ganked bot and got Garen a double kill, so I guess no harm no foul. I'm firmly of the opinion that teams shouldn't laneswap unless both ADC and support are comfortable with denying, zoning, and controlling the creepwave, which I feel like is pretty rare in gold elo. Not to mention a top laner has to be patient enough to hug tower, take the CS he can get, and not get caught out. Anyway, So enemy team master plan was to rush BoRKs and get all the objectives I guess. They got a free first dragon, but I stole the 2nd one, and then they tried to early baron (even though they were winning lanes and didn't need to force anything, they were outpushing us, and Aatrox was outfarming me) but I q'ed over the baron wall, stole it, and flashed away. Their whole team went on tilt, Aatrox raged, and we got a free win. They probably still would've won, but oh well, I'll take it!
And on to the first game of promos:
This is actually I think the best game I've played since starting this thread. Really felt like I carried here. Renekton thought Mord was going mid, but mord demanded top so croc went mid. Mord died to WW just as I cleared my first buff, and told us "not to worry, he was playing proxy mord"....which apparently just means he walks between turrets and dies. I was under the impression that proxy singed works because he can lead people on a long chase instead of insta-dying, but what do I know. However, our bot lane was very good, we had vision of Udyr in lane bush, and I set up a counter-gank, and we got a triple kill, which turned into tower and dragon. From there, Sona kept excellent vision of bot side map, and we were able to continually pick them off. Very happy with that game.
