It's mostly zoning, same as with 
Annie. You just need to make sure you're beating the enemy laners senseless without taking as much damage in return. Shove the lane, force them to farm under turret, deny farm, harass more, collect free kills because they are weak and at your mercy. Supports are ridiculously easy to carry with atm because they singlehandedly control bot lane and scale hardcore (Unless you're actually a support like Janna T.T).

Then you realize
You get the same amount of ******s in high elo too
But it happens even more frequently because there's so little people that they're going to be on your team on multiple games, not just one.

Well the enemy team's going to get fed on one or more lanes, so you need to be more fed than that guy, and be able to out-carry that guy.
