But it's always somewhat situational, for instance you aren't gonna want Abyssal against a full team of AD based offtanks like I played last night.

Abyssal and deathcap are almost absolutely needed.
Rylai's can be swap with Zhonya's or Guardian angel in order of acquirement.
At very late game when everyone get tons of mr ( maybe 200 or more? )
Replace your sorcs with mercs and abyssal for void.
You have the defenses needed with GA and zhonya's because their (ok maybe just zhonya's) cds tend to be refreshed between every fight at late late game.
