Soraka's incredibly underrated. Everyone builds auras on her which makes me lol. You can almost always win with Soraka, so long as she lanes with a high-damage output champion earlygame for infinite laning and good damage.
I personally don't even get her Q until level 12.

Janna.
-Q that disrupts, knocks up, and can be released whenever during a team fight, along with having obscene range.
-W that slows and is a decent AP nuke, as well as making Janna fast as **** and granting immunity to unit collision
-E that acts as a great shield while being a free B.F. Sword
-Ultimate that basically resets the fight while hard-countering AoE team comps, saving carries, healing your team after/before a push, and putting the enemy out of position.
Zilean.
-Q that is pretty good harass and damage, at least early-game.
-W that lets you SPAM Q AND ULTIMATE MOARRRRR
-E that slows/speeds up, making your carry impossible to catch
-R that revives your carry
Two most often banned supports IIRC.

Taric and Janna IMO.
Janna is a beast when it comes to saving people and supporting the team. When I played her AP, my EotS was able to eat 3 turret shots before popping. Zephyr was a single target nuke that only made things so bad for my target. Howling Gale was a farming dream. And Monsoon... Well lets say it made for great escapes, kills, and ganking.
Taric is a beast too. Im working on a build that has proven successful time and time again. Tanky with passive aura, might heals, and can push a lane like no other.
Only thing wrong with them is mana. If you dont have mana, you dont have much to give to the team.
