Wow, I went through the exact same thing. I started ranked right away and i went 3 wins 10 losses, and started trolling around and waiting for season 3.
I started jungling though, and i went straight from 800 to 1068 in 2 weeks c: not that many games either, I played like 1 or 2 games a day.

We just wanna give you guys a little back-story too this so yeah I'll start. When we turned level 30, we immediately played ranked (which we realize was a terrible mistake now that we look back). Well we lost like 3 in a row and we just kinda trolled from there (or at least me). We just recently decided to get serious about ranked and we also decided to do this by duo-queueing.
Current ELO:
800
Goal:
1100
Most games me and beastly will be playing together in bot lane. He'll be playing AD while I'll be playing Support. Our timetables don't exactly match up so don't expect us to be playing games every single day. We will make it there, we're now serious about it and won't give up. We've played about 4 games since we got serious and we've won all 4 so wish us the best!
