Some dude recorded hotshotgg playing Irelia on livestream and posted it on youtube and I watched that.
The gist of the videos seemed to be that Irelia doesn't do a lot of damage straight up, she's a really strong farmer, and she is god with AS. Her ult doesn't seem to be very powerful but it heals her up right quick. Overall she seems to be a strong carry.

Irela is a kick *** cchamp I think their gonna nerf her lefiesteal
cause a few bloodthirster items and its really really hard to die...like you have to sjut stop doing anyhting. Also she lifesteals towers. So that helps a lot for now
Her ult isnt good till the 3rd upgrade then you can actually kill people with it. Other wise I use it for life moment kill moments where i cant reach someone or for rushing a turrett....or kill a Mana Golem early game.
This is the only champ ive gotten 40+ kills with. I personally have killed and been killed by most champs at similar lvls so shes really isnt OP but if your smart youll have 3-6 killls by lvl6. and still have a helth pot and jsut the basic boots
Her only problem is mana. She sucks for harrasing to me. moves cost to much to not use for kiling 9o% of the time. Dont rely on her 3 moves alt ablity to often.that stun is a tricky thing to pull off sometime.
And try not to pop her ult while moving cuase you wont stop...same with fighting....if you pop it and they run your ognna chase. Diued a few times cause I fotget to stop before using it.
