Harsh. lol, I'd probably wait to see how they tweak her following the community's reaction.

Thanks goes to JEFFY40HANDS for a gorgeous Karma sig

Yeah a lot of dedicated Karma players might get pissed off at all this depending on what kind of changes they pull. I was on the beta a lot discussing Twitch changes before they came out and people were mad as hell at his kit changes. Most people planned on just never using him again, despite the fact that his overall changes made him incredibly better and a FAR more viable (though certainly not top tier) adc. Those who really care about karma changes are going to take some time to see what the changes she gets really mean and continue to play her, but with a slightly different strategy and mindset. Others on the other hand will likely stop playing her entirely just like other reworks.
tldr: some karma playas be mad, but it's for the best most likely.
Well i actually rather see her go full mid or full support type champ. Or maybe like other guy said similar to lux and morg not usual support but viable.
What I currently like about Karma is that she doesn't have to rely on a long cooldown ultimate have her full power available. They will change that, making her more like other supports and thus reduce diversity. That is what I don't like about the current plan. I do not dislike the general idea of remaking her a bit but they shouldnt take her out of the ammo ulti support niche.
I would have suggested to add some utility to mantra spirit bond, as I found myself not to use mantra for spirit bonds often. And maybe a little buff on her base mana engine.
The way to build her (as a support) is not aura items, as her abilities then do not show effect. Nor is it (pure) ap, as she can't get in range to apply her abilities then. The way is tanky with a bit of ap. This also allows her to drop low and benefit from her passive.
In season 2 it was hard to get enough gold to achieve that as the only gp5 fitting her was hog and it only built into randuins which wasn't too good on her (not too bad either). Kages didn't built into something cool on Karma. With the extra gold of some assists during laning it was possible, but without you got gold starved.
However now we season 3 changes and they generally increased supports gold. They replaced HoG by a Sightstone providing about the same amount of gold and they added a useful item to be built out of kages for Karma, namely Twin Shadows. Thus it has become easier to get what you need as a support Karma and you now still do your job when not winning the lane, though you still significantly profit from early assists.

^ Pretty much, yea.
But it's a new season and they bring up good points.

That was pretty much always the accepted way to build her. It was just hard to do because she wasn't really an AP mid or a support with a ton of gold.
Now though, with things like
Sightstone and
Shard of True Ice that help her gold problem, there's room for her to fling some AP into the build if she goes support.
Her midlane hasn't changed much except for maybe buying a
Twin Shadows for the support aspect later as well as the MR/MS
I guess we're just going to wait and see how Karma gets reworked. Both visually and in terms of her skills.

In my opinion, Karma could benefit from small ratio buffs aswell as small spell reworks. I'd gladly turn Mantra into a low CD ultimate (35 secs for example) that will give a range buff on spells and 20% increased effects / AP buff, aswell as enable the mantra effect on spells (Heal on q; damage on shield, speed on w) for 10 secs (Similar to Riven's ult). I'd also consider a CDR or MPEN for a passive on Mantra. It'd be cool also if they make her Q like a medium range self cast AOE, like Amumu's E, instead of a cone, that heals a % of the damage dealt when on mantra effect.
Anyway just my 2 cents.
