I'm starting to think that Riot is really trying to kill the traditional supports. It seems like every other patch one or more of them is getting nerfed. I guess I should stick to playing supports that don't have the "support" tag.

They actually massively nerfed Xerath in the previous patch without putting it in the notes. His ultimate has about twice the cast delay on it now.

The current meta loves aggressive bot lanes.
Soraka can still be aggressive so she's ooookay. Sona gets facerolled though. I consider Sona a free kill.

actually, unless they come up with a good idea for a skin, skins follow nerfs and buffs for a reason.
1) people start playing champion x. since a lot of people are playing x they release a skin. a few weeks later they nerf x because if so many people are playing them they must be a little on the strong side.
2) no one plays champion x, so x gets buffed. since more people start playing x, they release a skin for x. (swain is a recent example.)
