german sports teachers love gymnastics, all good until they find out you do it ever since you are young.
Teacher: Oh you do gymnastics, I am sure you can basically lead all the lessons on it and help me out.

How does basketball have anything to do with gymnastics? I am playing basketball in a team since I was 8-9 and still can't see any direct corrolation between those two, lol.
Ok except for the fact that once when were doing gymnastics at school I injured my neck and couldn't play basketball for half a month.

It's doesn't need to fit toegther. You were able to choose from sports you like (also included things like swimming or table-tennis) and then the teachers selected the most voted things and put them together. Badminton and athletics appear twice in combination with something else because they were chosen that often.

Ok. Still that systeam does not feel right to me. Also I am quite curious about the following: do normal schools in Germany have all these facilities( swimming pool, football fields, basketball courts etc.) or are you in an "Internat"(I do not know the english word, sry)?

Generally no swimming pool, some schools have it or there are publich ones you gonna visit. If the school isn't in town it has a football field most of the time; you can play basketball in the coliseum so you don't necessaryily need a court. Btw, the system isn't a general concept because every one of the 16 states in Germany has kinda different programs and they differ in the states themselves, too.
