Thanks alot Zeprido! Only one question, which of the two browser options that they offer did you use, IE or Firefox?
Dammit, I'm trying it again in IE and I don't get what I'm doing wrong. I went here: http://www.own3d.tv/game/League+of+Legends#/watch/137414 and then clicked the little Youtube button in the toolbar at the top and it fed me the following error.
"Video URL: http://www.own3d.tv/game/League+of+Legends#/watch/137414
Error: Coding error. You can report this bug (with URL) to us from the feedback page."
Is it possible I'm missing some browser plugin? This is a computer that's around a week old and I can stream the VoD it's just slow and pauses to buffer every once in a while so I want to just wait for the download and then watch it all at once.
Ignore the following until I say otherwise please.
Sounds like your using the old website version of it. I actually downloaded and installed the program. Its actually pretty amazing.
Using firefox with the video history tool open on freecorder (when its closed it doesnt download anything) it automatically starts to download a video the moment you hit play. So you can hit play, then pause it and it will just download the video. When the video finishes downloading you can select the video, then click the save icon and choose a path to move the file to.

What I currently use to record any streaming media is a program called HiDownloader Platinum. It's simple to use - you just download it, open it, start the "sniffer", and then open whatever stream you want to record - HiDownloader will start downloading whatever is streaming. I got several hours of TreeEskimo's stream on my computer this way, and also recorded part of DreamHack this way. You can record live streams and recorded streams in a livestream library, like Own3d.
