For the price, on a tanky DPs with decent Ad scaling skills, it'd be hard to beat that combo.

We might end up seeing more trinity + atmoggs now, since Warmongers tend to be the more popular choice.

Every warmoggs nerf is well accepted.
Is not like Watmoggs is OP, yet is seriusly annoying that every solo top AD champ can just build that and be viable, it's killing the theorycrafting for solo Q.

It's like saying Rabadon's would kill the theorycrafting for AP carrys or Infinity Edge would kill the AD crafting for AD Carries.
It's a very strong, most of the time core, item but it doesn't kill the theorycrafting by all means.

You're right Warmogg's + Atma's is not OP.
However Warmogg's -is- OP and Atma's should cost 200-300 gold more for what it does.
So an item hat could be balanced with a price buff and an OP defense item = doing too much too early.
