Duo Queue is an easy way of getting out of low elo :P
Esp if you both do a kill lane bot, like support Alistar, Leona, Blitzcrank, etc because you can get INSANELY fed as a lot of low elo players can't handle that.
If you are indeed better than the other team then you should have no trouble positioning yourself out of harms way.
