I read that they were trying a few changes including
Abilities in human form apply a "hunt" debuff that triggers bonuses in Cougar form
Less damage of Q (applies hunt)
Less CD and Mana cost on W (applies hunt)
Bonus range for pounce when used on/towards hunted targets
CD reduction on pounce when Swipe is used on hunted targets
Takedown scales AP instead of AD
Vision is granted to hunted targets
Move speed bonus when moving towards hunted targets
Aspect of the cougar now trained at level 1 and has 4 ranks.
None of this is concrete but looks like several of these will stay in play based on what I read.

What we do know:
Buffs:
1. Cougar form at level 1
2. Swipe and Pounce towards cursor
3. New Hunt Passive (???)
Nerfs:
1. Lower spear damage
2. Lower heal plus no attack speed
3. No armor/mr shred on Bushwhack
4. Takedown now magic damage, does not deal bonus damage off % health
5. Cougar form no longer grants movement speed
6. Cougar form cooldown now based off rank
She got some quality of life changes, like pounce and swipe as well as cougar at level 1. But those should have been introduced without nerfs. It's simply an update to
Nidalee to bring her in line with the likes of Jayce and Elise; I don't really consider those appropriate buffs.
The nerfs far outweigh the buffs at this point. We don't know base numbers or ratios, but these nerfs look like they hurt both bruiser and AP nidalee. The lower spear damage is probably the death of AP nidalee. You're not going to be able to rely on your spears as the sole source of damage from what it sounds like. What baffles me is why they would not give her bonus Armor and MR again in cougar. Since you can't rely on spear damage and have to rely on cougar form you're forced into building ap or ad bruiser.
The Takedown changes could be good they could be bad. We'll have to see numbers, from what I've read she'll still have an AD ratio in addition to an AP ratio and it will deal magic damage. But since you no longer do bonus damage based on % health, it sounds like you'll be relying on your new hunt passive for more damage. In any case I think it's a pretty big nerf, that execute was what made bruiser nid really strong, she was able to trade and win trades through her heal and wearing opponents down by progressively doing more each trade. The removal of the attack speed steroid on Primal Surge is also a pretty big deal, it hurts bruiser Nidalee a lot. I don't think the heal value will hurt her that much, Nid's heal had a very mediocre-to-subpar base value with a really high ratio (0.7). So the heal value could be buffed if they decide to increase the flatline value in response to nerfing the ratio.
Since we don't know the numbers yet, it's hard to talk about, but these are pretty big nerfs; I don't think you'll be able to play her mid lane, just because bush control seems to be so important for her new game play, seems like she'll be forced into top lane and be forced into an AP or AD bruiser build. Yes the buffs are really nice QoL changes, but honestly that's the very minimum she got, those changes should have been implemented a while ago to bring her in line with current champions
