Sometimes people can actually get a discussion even out of old threads, but if someone necros and just writes "necro" then it's an auto lock. So I think a warning would be better.

If someone does that, Mowen, then it isn't an innocent mistake and we can definitely punish them as trolls. If there is some reason to do it, I don't really see the problem. If they are just trolling around then definitely report it.

Maybe we should have a voting system to determine whether an issue is no longer relevant(only moderaters, vets, admin, etc could use it) or maybe you could set up a new section of people to help sort through old threads(like you created the scout system) to help determine which threads are clearly old and irrelevant to the current meta/forum topics, etc.

That's a lot of complex and time consuming effort for something that doesn't seem like a huge issue in the first place. Likely we'll just add a warning and then warn those that continue to abuse despite.
