I think I might have seen that first bug before but it fixed itself within a few minutes. Is it still happening? Try clicking "Mark as Read" on the subscriptions page and see if that gets rid of the notifications.

By the way I don't think I can subscribe to guides/blogs anymore? I can see the ones I was already subscribed to in my notifications, but I can't seem to subscribe to any new ones.

I am subscribed to a guide, and I went to that guide's discussion section and the subscription messages didn't go away. Then I tried clicking the links in the subscription box and that didn't make them go away either.
