Combine the numbers together and divide by two. That will give you the real amount of people online.

The two boxes get cached individually of each other, so they represent the number of users online at the time that the box got cached, which refreshes every few minutes. Getting them in sync is on my to do list but not exactly high priority ;)

To be honest, I like look at those counters to be astounded by how many users we have. I myself always see them in sync. O.o

As you look from one to the other, the devil culls the extras to make it 666.
