Does this seem like a good idea?
Popular thread would be the ones with the most comments. This is a good thing. For example, the QQ thread - even if people don't traditionally participate in the MobaFire forums, a place to QQ is something that I'd see new members using.
However, if "most comments" isn't good enough, "most comments over x amount of time" could work too.
Depends on what threads are made in what forum. Does it matter if Off Topic has more new threads made? Or do you mean Off Topic has the most threads with the most posts?

You need to log in before commenting.
What I'm proposing is adding two extra tabs to the "Recent Activity" box that MobaFire currently has. The two extra tabs will be "New Posts" and "Most Discussed" (see second image from another site, indicating what I mean), which would be drawn from the forums. I believe these two extra tabs would give new threads more exposure, and draw more attention to MobaFire's most popular threads thus increasing the traffic to MobaFire's forums.
Sometimes MobaFire's forums can be dead; that's because it's always the same people posting. This addition hopes to bring more attention to the forums and increase the diversity of threads.
