If you are that new, you will learn most by just playing.

Tolux here ^^
I could help you with analyzing you gameplay. I've mained Lux along with other skill shooters for a long time and I've tried several ways to build a solid Lux.
A few tips:
Lux needs both AP and CDR - try building Sorcerer's Shoes -> Fiendish Codex -> Rabadon'd Deathcap -> Morello's Evil Tome - as a core item build
Also try getting the hang of your delay on Finales Funkeln - it's great to be able to snipe people in other lanes as the run from battles. With some practice you can judge their movement speed and fire it in front of them ;)
Try leveling your 'E' skills before 'Q' as it's easier to land, also try throwing it a bit bihind your opponent as the natural thing to do when an area skill come flying is backing up.
Skipp the 'W' until lvl 13 and always stay at range from your enemies, Lux really doesn't need to come up close for anything - that be lasthitting or killing champs. 75% of your 'Q' skills range is enough.
You probably knew some of this already but the essential about Lux is practice - which makes perfect.
Well as I said I'de be glad to converse with you, I'm sure both parts would learn something in the process :)

I've been playing for about a week and a half now (reason why I'm such a high level in such a short period of time is because I bought the XP boosts so I can get all my masteries/more and better runes)
If you'd like I can start recording my daily games for you to watch and analyze as well. I am on the US servers and my username is 2BearsHighFiving.
