Hello and welcome to the MOBAFire Patch Summary - 6.6!

Today marks the first day of patch 6.6, a patch that will bring joy to players, tears to mains and - more importantly - a new Dragon to the Rift! Though is not live yet, he is expected to be released soon™, which means we'll take a quick look at his skillset before discussing champions buffs and nerfs (including the two already mentioned), the introduction of Hextech Crafting and the upcoming skins.

As mentioned, will be live this patch (most likely somewhere this week); if you're not yet familiar with his kit, make sure to check it out by mousing over his ability icons at the bottom of this section.

Moving on to the buffs and nerfs which patch 6.6 has introduced, we'll start by looking at the bright side. Players who decided to pick up in patch 6.5 now have extra incentive to play him, as the cooldowns of his (~~3.5 seconds~~ ⇒ 3 seconds) and (~~10 seconds~~ ⇒ 9 seconds) have gone down.

Other notable buffs include receiving 10/20/30 more bonus Health from his stacks than before, gaining 10% more movement speed from and having a lower cooldown on at the first four ranks (~~13/11.5/10/8.5/7 seconds~~ ⇒ 11/10/9/8/7 seconds) and 's now always costing 40 Mana (was 40-60 depending on rank), dealing 10 more damage than before and going from a 1.0 to a 1.2 bonus AD ratio.

Of course, every coin has two sides, and this patch offers no exception to that rule. For example, now only heals his allies for 33% of the full value with (down from 50%), grants less attack damage to an ally with (~~14/23/32/41/50~~ ⇒ 10/17.5/25/32.5/40) and 's movement speed buff from has a reduced duration (1 second lower at max rank) and half the ratio.

Hextech Crafting

On top of the champion changes discussed above and a handful of minor changes to items, Riot will be continuing their efforts to bring Hextech Crafting to all regions, giving players the chance of permanently unlocking champions and skins based on their in game performance.

You'll earn a chest every time you or anyone else in your premade party earns an S rank (max 4 per month), while keys to open those chests have a chance of dropping every time you win a game. If you're not happy with the loot gained in your chests, you can also choose to disenchant or reroll it at the crafting table.

Upcoming Skins

Speaking of Hextech Crafting, the feature also introduces a new skin - - which is obtainable exclusively through reward chests. This skin was already obtainable for some regions, but will now also be introduced to other regions (as soon as the system itself is live).

Though a number of April Fool skins have also been added to the game files this patch and might make their way to the live servers soon, the only other confirmed skin which will be released during patch 6.6 is 's release skin, .
