Tonight at midnight PST we will be launching a new version of the guide tool. Due to the size and complexity of this change, it is unavoidable that anyone that is in the middle of editing their guide when these changes go up WILL LOSE any work done since the last time they saved!!
Essentially, if you load up the builder to edit your guide at 11:50, do a bunch of changes, then click "save" at 12:10, those changes you made since 11:50 will NOT get saved. However all the work you saved before then will be fine, of course.
To avoid lost work, I suggest you either hold off on editing your guides around that time until you see that the new builder is up, or you copy your guide to a file on your own local computer and work there, posting your changes online later.
We'll be monitoring the site closely after the new builder has gone up, but if anyone has troubles with it we ask that you report the issues to us immediately so we can take care of it. We will also be making a full backup of the database just before we put the new builder live.
Thanks all, and sorry for the inconvenience!
