**** it.
Let's just have a religious debate since you guys are insisting on it.

The problem is that atheists can never realize that religion is more of a way of life than a god worshipping cult. A true religion practician sees God as a mentor in life, because what comes in the holy book in terms of 'human way of life' in general is correct, helpful, and has been scientifically approved. For example, In the Holy Coran, God says driking wine is forbidden because everything that is bad for human health is forbidden. Indeed, scientifically proven, Wine can get you addicted to it, and therefore damage your liver overtime.

Oh my god..

"Religion: *thumbs up* Science approved"
Utter hilarity.

But in the end, the only reason why atheists and religious people can never agree is because atheists are scared that Heaven exists and that they can't reach it, whereas religious people are scared that nothing comes after death, there's no afterlife

Really?
How are you enjoying that black and white world of yours?
I'm personally living in the real world, where there's like 50milion shades of grey.

I am, as an atheist, scared as balls about death. Because everything points to the fact that once I die EVERYTHING will end. My entire world will end, disappear, go dark.
I do not even consider the possibility of a heaven or hell existing, because that's about as believable as a ****ing fairytale; there is nothing that points to the existence of one of those. There is literally not a single reason for me to even consider the possibility that they exist other than my own weakness and wishful theories/stories/w.e.
Telling a lie a million times does not make it any more true.
I am never gonna succumb to my own fear of death and start believing in a fairytale of a place among the clouds that you go to when you die.

And don't tell me about Darwin, his theory has been proved wrong

Oh really now? Do tell me more.

Even if that specific theory is wrong, I'm pretty sure the underlying principles that living organisms change and "evolve" is a fact.

Evidence and facts, not blanket statement assumptions which are clearly wrong.

Precisely.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.

I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

I didn't try to ! In fact I don't think these kind of debates should even exist because religion vs atheism is a personal way of life. I respect both, I don't mind both, and I love atheist people as much as I love religious people. In fact I don't even care about who believes in what in general because that doesn't mean they are any different from you as a human :D I love people no matter where they come from, who they are, and what they believe in. They're all my siblings !

Ah, Searz, I know how much you love debating so I decided to keep you entertained for a while, as a gratitude for getting me to the right path and reorienting me concerning anime/manga stuff :D

I think I misphrased my idea there :3 I took for example the holy Coran's point on Alcohol.

Scientifically proven: Excessive alcohol damages your liver, therefore excessive alcohol is bad for your health.

The holy quran states that alcohol is forbidden because everything that is bad for your health is forbidden, that people tend to not control their thirst (can be interpreted as addiction).

I apologize; I never meant to say that Science approves religion, my bad I didn't use proper words.

Everyone is scared of death ! And I mean everyone, no exception. Whether they believe in god or not, whether they are extremely poor, homeless, and have nothing to live for in this earth, no one wants to die.

Believing in God doesn't mean being religious. I believe in God yet actually I live a very ordinary life. I don't pray, I live for today and not tomorrow. I can drink, smoke, make dem girls' panties drop. And even if they prove there's an afterlife, I'd prefer sharing earth with all the humans regardless of their religion than be separated from them because I don't want personal beliefs to set us apart. It's because right now, I don't know how and why us, humans exist, that I believe in God.

Quoted:

You are right, evolution has been proved in other species, well maybe Science can prove it for humans someday.

I'm sorry if I offended anyone, it was not my intention at all ! In any case I deeply apologize, and know that I love everyone regardless of their beliefs. You are all my siblings, my equals, and not even religion or science can change my mind :)

I am taking no side in this because I agree with you. As long as there's no evidence and facts I can't affirm anything, Im sorry :$

You're using science to support something that religion states, while religion itself is highly implausible by the general rules science follows.
It's kind of ironic :P

If "living organisms changing and evolving" can be proven, why would one separate humankind from this equation? Is it pride? Arrogance?
Why are humans any different from animals as a living species? Because of our intellect? Many different animals can do amazing things: spiders can create one of the most resilient and flexible substances in existence; a human is just an animal with an unusually large intellect. (quite like apes, which we probably evolved from)

The logical thing would be to assume that humankind also evolves.

I do not know if it has been proven yet or not, but really, the smart thing to do is to assume that it will happen if it hasn't already.

Take a look at the thing Sirell quoted and learn something from the mistakes you made.
You made faulty generalizations/assumptions that are very easy to disprove.
You made use of blanket statements. A blanket statement is when you make a statement that generalizes something to the point of ignoring important information, as in: shoving important information under a blanket.
