This isn't the first time that Blizzard has taken dramatic action though. I don't know if anyone else here remembers, but in 2003, Blizzard perma-banned Thousands of Diablo 2 accounts for basic Map-Hack cheats. Blizz is all about making thier games fair for beginners, and has little remorse for top-tier players. This is evident in every game that they have ever made. They lay the Hebrew Hammer down on in-game economy issues, and are constantly patching the games to make it easier for people just starting to get to top-tier content.
