When i was in London with some friends, it was no real problem to get the 17 year a beer. Most small stores should not really care if you don't look like 15 or something. Just go and get it. If you stuter and act like it is something unnatural you will just make them want to check your ID. Pubs on the other hand seem to be way more serious about that, but those how search will find ;)

Any ****ing bar in London. I go clubbing in London and I'm 16... Few weeks away from being 17, it really shouldn't be a problem for you to get in unless you like like a baby.

Even while being underaged have a natural look/height like 25.

That was my way getting alc or whatever.
Growing old enough took lots of fun out of the most things *sigh*.
