I was also right in the middle of
all the hype, but ultimately I didn't get it
and I think I made the right decision. Looking
at the gameplay, the graphics are cool and it's
like a throw-back to the old days seeing a diablo
game being played... But there's just some epic flaws,

What's wrong with having to stay online to play? How often do you lose your internet connection? Also, would you really play off-line if they allowed it? I know I wouldn't. Knowing I have my chars online I wouldn't bother wasting time on offline mode.
Well my internet actually periodically cuts
off, rather annoyingly. So that would mean I'd
lose my progress (last time I checked, long ago).
And even if I didn't lose any progress, I think we can
all agree it's a pissoff ><. I also tend to take my computer
with me when I travel and I often land myself in places
where people think 6Mb or lower, internet is fast.
SO I can imagine I'd lag. I don't mind playing offline
really. Most games I play are offline. So cozy ^^ haha.

6Mb has nothing to do with ping. As long as you have a good ping even 256kb will do.
Still, the way the game is made you wouldn't be able to progress through inferno while playing solo. It's just impossible, you need the AH to trade items.

I can't tell you the date, all I know is that it was around the time the forum was blown up with how no one could do inferno.
I was playing DH, so it was handed to me :p

Regardless, I'd be fine with offline. I don't doubt some
areas are probably exceedingly difficult to get through without
help though.
Yes, LoL. It's a shame you don't play so much. I'd've
imagined you did. I just saw your region say EU, so I wondered
which region specifically. But if you play on EUW, I'd
like to have a game with you at some point, if you'd be up for it.

Also, D2 was giant ****ing farm-fest so that's what everyone was expecting the D3 to be. Obviously, if you don't like farming then this game is not for you. So far everyone who I played D2 with liked or at least enjoyed the game.
The only problem I have with the game is that due to the first few weeks of bugs and imbalance, which is to be expected from any game whatsoever, it was very easy to get gear and those who joined just a week after were severely handicapped compared to those who played right away. This in turn screwed up the AH and the RMAH just aggravated the situation. Other than that the game was OK.
