yeah and blizzard is right behind gaben on these statements.
please provide the source for your statement. About a month ago blizzard banned every single D3 player that used wine to play on linux (which is the only way to play D3 on linux). They did the same with WoW. Why would they ban the entire linux community from their games if they want to support it?
@Searz
I'm interested, and will probably move to linux when all games that I play are ported, but there's really not much to comment about it so I didn't write anything.

Blizzard ain't too happy about Windows 8 either.
And np, you commented on the topic, I was just surprised to see just one person the first 24h or so.

damn you're fast..
Still, even if they don't support w8 it doesn't mean they'll support linux. They can just update things for xp/vista/7. They probably will support linux though, everyone will after valve does. Hopefully non.gaming companies like adobe will as well.

I have personally used Windows (many versions), OSX, and Ubuntu. I honestly would use only Ubuntu if my commonly used applications were available on it. If Win8 continues to be like I've heard it will be I will switch to my mac until Linux is compatible with my common applications.
Here's how I see it basically:
Windows - Games (soon to be destroyed by Win8)
OSX - Productivity, workflow, and cloud (with other Apple devices)
Linux - Most refined, cheapest, easiest to use and most modifiable
That's my view anyway, I'm not going to touch Win8, esp. if it's what I heard about it.

To be updated soon!
And if you don't like the Unity interface that is in Ubuntu by default you can just use some other interface.
There's GNOME Shell, KDE, Xfce and LXDE that are all pretty easy to install. And they all change the interface completely.

I know that Linus Torvalds wrote the
Linux kernel. I just thought it was easier
to say that Linux is basically an operating
system :).

But a kernel is pretty much the core of the operating system, so you didn't get it completely wrong :P
Funny fact; you're probably using Linux every day without knowing it.
LOADS of things use Linux, ranging from music players to your Android phone and even your TV is probably using it.
