I always figured they understand it's inconvenient but come up with a stance to try to not seem like ****s. This whole thing seems to be driven by the industry's pirating scare. I must say I understand their frustration with the amount of game pirating but they are going about solving this all the wrong ways...

Always-on adds no functionality what so ever, it in fact detracts functionality. Why do big names in the industry refuse to understand this?
