No, I mean are you trolling are do you seriously want to know why you can't do that? Because it's pretty obvious why you can't.
Actually, this is not a troll at all. It is meant to be seriously discussed and cause oneself to truly find a valid reason as to why people can't/should be allowed to rep themselves. Shutting out the topic entirely and not giving it any in-depth thought shows that you're unable to see the value of topics and just make conclusions for the sake of not wanting to look at things from a different angle or point of view. Thus ignorance is called being narrow-minded, and I am offended by your accusations.

Please logically argue for self-representation then. My argument against it is that rep is meant to show how good of a poster oneself is, how well the person mingles in with the community and if everyone were to +rep themselves, well you wouldn't really be able to tell who to truly trust while posting on forums or builds (or anything else of the like, for that matter). If everyone could +rep themselves they'd all be "important" but at the same time would catch up to rep to people that truly deserve actual rep. In which case implementing the rep system would be pointless, but the way it is now everyone chooses who they can rep (people, choose wisely please) and this way the people that actually contribute the most do get recognized (Matt, Jebus McAzn to name a few) which is really the way it should be.
