Al'akir, well he's not "bad" but 3/5 legandaries would definitely be preferable to him.
If you compare it to their pala counterparts you'd be lacking so i conclude by this that you don't need to get "as lucky" to get a good pala deck from arena.
You're not bringing up the cards that you play Shaman for...
Feral Spirit and Fire Elemental are just overpowered. They are incredibly strong.
Earth Elemental is really damn good too, but that's an epic, so not a card you can reliably get.

I have King Krush (<3), Ragnaros, Gelbin MEKKATORQUEEEEEEEEEE, Prophet Velen, Tyrion Fordring and Old Murkeye :3
Too bad 3 of them are class legendaries, else I could've started building my legendary deck like mister biscuit :3

Beforementioned paladin cards weren't the reason you play paladin either but they're still really good cards.
My whole point is that almost all of the paladin cards are good cards.
