The big whiskey thread.

You'll have to figure out methods of heating out yourself :P Here are the whiskeys I've tried: (been a while since I've drank a few of them so I can't quite remember the tastes) Bowmore - A little smoky. Tastes kinda like Laphroaig, but milder and a lot less smoky. 8/10 Grant's - Not smoky at all. A taste of cherry. 7/10 The Famous Grouse - Kinda like Grants, but less cherry taste and a little more alcohol taste (if I remember correctly). It tastes better when you add a little water and heat. 5.5/10 Jamesson's - Bitter with a really bitter aftertaste, me no like >.> 3/10 Lagavoulin - Smoky. (can't remember) 8-9/10 [url=http://thirstyblogger.my/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/laphroaig-quarter-cask.jpg]Laphroaig Quarter Cask[/url] - Very smoky with a strong taste. Smells like tar with a tiny hint of vanilla. Very strong aroma. Strong on the alcohol(48%) part too. Drink a glass of this and you'll smell whiskey for hours ^_^ 10/10 Laphroaig - Very smoky with strong taste. Kinda like a milder version of quarter cask. 9/10 Islay Mist - Smoky. Kinda like Laphroaig (contains a little Laphroaig), but less distinct taste(it's blended after all). Cheap good whiskey. 9/10 Laphroaig has apparently been named "the best scotch whisky in the world" by Whiskey magazine. Just found out when googling a little.[/quote]
